Blogging and podcasting are exciting and engaging ways to enhance the home-school connection by enabling your students to communicate with a potentially worldwide audience. In this class, we will discuss ways to make blogging and podcasting a useful part of the teaching and learning process. We will explore the steps and skills necessary for creating a successful blog or podcast as participants create their own blog and/or podcast. Issues of audience, copyright, and security will be discussed.

My favorite image was at about 0:47, showing the idea of "engagement." To get that reaction from kids at least once a day would be a treat!
